De Matroos en het Meisje is a seasonal restaurant in Katendrecht, in Rotterdam-Zuid. We cook with whatever the season brings following a fixed table d’hôtes concept, and serve an ever-changing surprise menu of four to six courses with distinct French influences. Rather than choosing from a menu yourself, you let the kitchen surprise you. So with every visit you taste new dishes that suit the moment, poured alongside wines from small, nature-minded growers. No fixed wine pairing, but a carefully composed wine list you choose from yourself.

Feel free to ask us for advice, as we love to tell the story behind every bottle. You are welcome seven days a week for dinner, and at the weekend for a leisurely lunch too. If you are coming with a larger party, we are happy to think along with you about a fitting menu.
